This site was fun and I enjoyed making the cartoon although it was hard to come up with ideas. I thought of several ways to use ToonDoo in the classroom. One way is to put your instructions on a worksheet in the form of a cartoon. Students would be more likely to read them. Characters in a comic could be giving some very useful facts that you want children to learn. You could also add cartoons to tests or homework, purely for entertainment. Finally, students could create their own comic as a creative writing project.

The other new site I used was gliffy. Research has proven that classroom management is one of the key components of an effective teacher and classroom layout plays an important role in that management, so I created a classroom layout on gliffy. Obviously this tool would be most helpful if I actually had a classroom and knew exactly what I had to work with, but since I don't I created my ideal classroom.

I think that this a great site and that kids would really like to use it. With that being said, I have to admit that I have really struggled with this one. I've made my toondoo, but when I publish it all I show is a black screen. I can re-edit it and it is there. I don't know what I am doing wrong. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate any suggestions. This is all I show.

Here is my cartoon. I am not the most clever when it comes to this, but I know that I can improve. I am just so excited that I got this far. Here is where my toondo is at http://www.toondoo.com/View.toon?param=374898.

Like most of you I had trouble coming up with something to make a cartoon about so I chose something funny my son said in his band class. I think it would be easier knowing your lesson plans for the day, etc to make a cartoon that would apply to your presentation. I also liked the idea of using it to give your instructions, etc. It would be great as an assessment tool in the place of a written assignment, video, or podcast.

Toondo was super easy to use - I would definately use as a teacher. My only negative is how slow it was running, it tool forever to retrieve my toon after I completed it.

Like many others, I had a hard time coming up with an idea for my ToonDoo. Once I got started it was a lot of fun though! I think this will be a great asset and be of great use in the classroom!

I thought that ToonDoo was a great site. At first I didn't really know what to make a comic out of, but once I did, it didn't take me very long at all! I was really impressed by how easy the site was to use. I think that it would be easy to use it with younger students, and older students would benefit a lot from it too. My mom is a high school English teacher, and after seeing me use the site, she said she was going to mention it to some of her colleagues. My comic is based on something one of my cousins said to his mom when he was little.
