I do not know for sure if this is audible or not. I tried so many times and kept getting the fee message that I was a little disappointed with all the FREE advertising it falsely leads people to believe.

I had used audacity for my previous tecs class and I think it was a little less complicated.

I had a few problems with Voice Thread. It won't support clip art. I had a video I wanted to add and it wouldn't support the HTML. I started with just photos, but I'd like to progress to Web Cam comments. One of the problems I had was that the program kept freezing in the record process and I kept having to close the site completely and restart the program to get going again.

The following is the link to the project: http://voicethread.com/share/207900/. I'm not sure now how to embed the project. Does anybody know? I did embed it on my website. http://rustywillis.homestead.com

I'm sure like anything else, once I practice some more, I'm sure it gets easier and smoother.
I definitely see the possibilities for students with a little help finding the right files to include in the projects. It took me more time to find the right photos to include than it did to create the project itself.

I just finished my great book project Voice Thread and I have to say, it was easier this time.

What a great application. It was really easy and quick to use. I am taking my first methods class (HHP) and we have not written any lessen plans yet so I am anticipating a lesson on nutrition where I would use this voice thread to review the food guide pyramid. I would then ask students to complete a food log for one day and go back and leave a comment on each slide telling me how many servings of each group they had eaten.

Here is my VoiceThread. http://voicethread.com/share/209773/

I will also embed by project in the video section.

I did a read aloud of 'Sick' by Shel Silverstein for my corrections of reading disorders class. It is the last methods class that I am in and this is exaclty what we are working on and I wanted to get my students excited about reading aloud and I think I found the key!!!

I did my Great Book Story on the Nancy Drew books as a whole. We didn't have a library in the small school I attended so I would be at the local public library all the time and I loved these books. I think part of it was that there were so many! I still like mystery and suspense books today.

Wow! What a neat way to integrate technology into a lesson. This was easier than I thought it would be! I really like that it is very simple because I assume it would be fairly easy for students to do and I think they would enjoy it. I just created a lesson in my Social Studies methods course about one of America's symbols, the Statue of Liberty, so I used it for my voice thread.

What an awesome tool! I loved it! This is going to be such a great asset to any classroom. It was so easy to work with. I used a lesson that I created for my Diverse Learners course last spring. I actually was glad I created it because I was asked to come and volunteer during the after school program. ( I used to work the AS program so every now and again they ask me back) So I was happy that I had something planned for the kiddos!

I think that this is an awesome tool for a teacher. It is definitely something that I will keep in mind when I start my teaching career! At first, it was a little difficult to figure out but when I finally realized that all I had to do to record my voice was to hit "Comment"! The one thing that I had a problem with was when I recorded my voice with one of the pictures in my voicethread to go along with my lesson plan, I did not think that it was loud enough. So I recorded it again, however, the first recording was still on there and I have no idea how to get it off so it just includes my last recording. This is why you will hear the recording for the last picture twice! Sorry:) My lesson plan is for a 4th grade Science class on Creating a Electrical circuit. After doing the voicethread for my lesson plan and getting the hang of it, it was pretty simple to do the voicethread for The Great Book Series Project. The only problem that I encountered when doing this was with the third voice recording to go with the third picture. I recorded this recording to go with the third picture 3 different times and saved it every time, however, when I tried to play it back, it would never play back even though every other recording with the other pictures would! This was very frustrating. I still do not think I got that problem fixed so I am sorry if you do not hear anything with my third picture! I chose to do my voicethread on Stan and Jan Berenstain and The Berenstain Bears book series. With that said, here is the link for my voicethread for The Great Book Series Project: http://voicethread.com/#u169931.b209966.i1101199

Okay, after all the problems with my third image, I played it again to confirm that it got recorded. Well, it was recorded all three times. So I clicked on the third image to try and delete these recordings and do a brand new one. I clicked on "Delete this thread" and come to find out, that deletes the WHOLE ENTIRE voicethread. I was devastated but I had to recreate this whole voicethread, so here is the new link to my newly created voicelink for The Berenstain Bears book series: http://voicethread.com/#e209986
