Kale Schields

I graduated from FHSU with my BS in Elementary Ed and my Master's in Sports Administration. I am currently enrolled taking some 'continuing ed' classes at the moment.

I am married to Darci, we have 2 boys (Austin-13 & Andrew-6) and we just had a baby girl November 15 (Ashlyn). We made the big move to Bird City, Kansas in July where I accepted a 6th grade teaching position with Cheylin Elementary. Most won't know where Bird City is, so I'll be a bit more specific. We are in the Northwest corner of Kansas...about 30 miles from the Colorado border and 15 miles from the Nebraska border. We live in a very small town of about 400, but it is a great community where EVERYBODY knows EVERYBODY! :) My 6th grade class consists of 7 girls and 2 boys, so you can imagine how chatty our classroom can get at times!

Along with teaching, I am also the Jr High Athletic Director, Jr High Assistant FB Coach and Jr High Scholar's Bowl Coach. My wife reminds me every so often that I probably took on a bit more than I should have my first year! :)

Even though there are trials throughout teaching...I really enjoy the interaction with the young kids and the opportunity to make a difference in their lives!
